Emma has a background working in the corporate sector. She retrained to become a qualified psychodynamic counsellor and psychotherapist at the University of London, Birkbeck.
Emma works with adults on a short-term or open-ended basis, providing a confidential space in which to talk through personal issues. Emma helps individuals to understand and cope with a wide range of emotional difficulties, including trauma, depresssion, relationship problems, abuse, phobias, eating disorders, anxiety/stress and loss. Clients can expect to be listened to without being judged and will be shown respect and empathy.
Emma has experience within the NHS working with individuals suffering from depression and anxiety. She also facilitates a bereavement group, providing people with the opportunity to explore their feelings in relation to loss.
Emma is a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and abides by its ethical framework for good practice.
