As well as a career coach, Jayne is a qualified psychotherapist and registered member of the BACP with an MSc in Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy. Jayne is experienced in dealing with work-related difficulties and performing under pressure and is interested in the interaction between individual stress, psychological disturbance and organisational dynamics. In her work she has assisted with a range of issues including stress management, anxiety, depression, relationship problems and life transitions.
Jayne works in a psychodynamic way, enabling clients to explore and link past with present experiences and address past unresolved conflicts. This can create lasting behavioural change and better informed choices. Jayne has a particular interest in trauma, OCD, abuse, loss (bereavement, redundancy), and self-harm (substance abuse, eating disorders). She has experience of working with a range of difficulties including borderline and narcissistic personality disorders and can provide both short-term and longer-term counselling. She works as a voluntary psychotherapist in the NHS and in a community charity.
