Chosen the wrong path?
Simon was a young professional with a strong academic CV who was getting positive feedback in his role as a junior member of the professional team in his firm. He had long intended to qualify into his chosen profession, but was having doubts as he gained a clearer picture of what his life might be like over the next 10 years or so if he stuck to his plan.
After a review of his skill sets including the use of psychometrics, we helped Simon identify three alternative career paths which would build on his experience and play to his strengths and those parts of his role which he enjoyed. In researching these options he became clearer about his goals and his ability to explain his change of direction. Having reworked his CV and undergone interview preparation, Simon began to apply for different roles and chose one involving policy development and regulation. He is now moving forward in his new organisation with renewed purpose and motivation.
