As well as a career coach, Jayne is a qualified psychotherapist and registered member of the BACP with an MSc in Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy. Jayne set up the PCP Therapy and Counselling Service in 2015. She is experienced in dealing with work-related difficulties and performing under pressure and is interested in the interaction between individual stress, psychological disturbance and organisational dynamics. In her work she has assisted with a range of issues including stress management, anxiety, depression, relationship problems and life transitions.
Jayne works in a psychodynamic way, enabling clients to explore and link past with present experiences and address past unresolved conflicts. This can create lasting behavioural change and better informed choices. Jayne has a particular interest in trauma, OCD, abuse, loss (bereavement, redundancy), and self-harm (substance abuse, eating disorders). She has experience of working with a range of difficulties including borderline and narcissistic personality disorders and can provide both short-term and longer-term counselling.
