Jonathan read law at Oxford University and was a solicitor and partner with Macfarlanes in the City for over twenty years. In addition to his practice in M&A and Corporate Finance, Jonathan was heavily involved in the management of the firm and has a wealth of experience in legal practice management strategies.
In particular he designed and operated recruitment procedures (including interview and assessment centres), training and development programmes and appraisal and mentoring schemes as well as working on motivation and partner remuneration issues.
Since leaving legal practice in 2001 Jonathan has completed a degree in Integrative Counselling and worked on career management and coaching issues with City professionals, providing guidance and support in a variety of areas of professional development and career and practice management. He particularly enjoys working with those embarking on their professional careers and those approaching or navigating significant changes. Jonathan is a director of PCP.
His interests outside work include sailing, walking, his allotment, family and friends, as well as following rugby, cricket and rowing.
